III. How we protect your personal data

Security of your personal data

We update and test our security features on an ongoing basis and restrict access to personal information to those who need to receive it in order to provide IDG's products, content or services.

Making information on applied technical and organizational measures ensuring protection of processing available outside may weaken their effectiveness, which threatens the proper protection of personal data.

These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information other than cloud storage and retrieval, and require them to apply at least the same level of security as we use to protect your personal information.

V. Legal basis for processing of your personal data

GDPR requires data collectors such as IDG to inform customers about the legal basis for the use of personal data of EU residents. Therefore, this section applies to any such personal information collected by IDG. The processing of your personal data is based primarily on the need to perform the contract to which you are party or to take action at your request before entering into the contract (Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR). This applies primarily to personal data provided in the form when registering an Account on the website, concluding a sales contract in the online store SKLEP IDG KIOSK, as well as when subscribing to the Newsletter. Also in the case of personal data provided to us in connection with your complaint, the legal basis for their processing is the need to perform / handle the contract of sale of the advertised goods / services.

In the case of data processing operations for the aforementioned marketing purposes, with the exception of those conducted as part of the Newsletter, which operates on the basis of the internal rules, the basis for such processing is the compliance with the purpose stated as the legitimate interests of IDG or its Partners (Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR), in which case the partners do not participate in the processing of your data, unless you have given your consent

To the extent that IDG Partners may also have direct access to this information, the legal basis for such processing is your voluntary consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). Furthermore, presentation, creation, granting, and implementation of advertisements, offers or promotions (discounts) dedicated to you, which are based exclusively on automated processing, including profiling, tailored as much as possible to your preferences and which may significantly influence your decisions, is based on the Customer's voluntary consent (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR).

For other (other) purposes, your personal data may be processed on the basis of:

  1. voluntary consents, e.g. of persons enrolling for competitions (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR);
  2. regulations in force: when such processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation of IDG, e.g. when, pursuant to tax or accounting regulations, IDG performers clearing of concluded sale agreements (Art. 6.1.c) GDPR);
  3. for purposes other than those specified above resulting from legally justified interests of IDG or of a third party, in particular to establish, enforce or defend claims, conduct correspondence with Clients, including contact forms (including responding to Clients' messages), market and statistical analyses (Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR).
When and how we share your personal data with others

IDG may share your personal information in order to provide content and services from our websites, affiliates and third party services that may interest you, including sponsored content and events, for business purposes and to comply with applicable legal procedures.

If you are an EU citizen, IDG will share your personal data with third parties outside the IDG Communications Publishing Network only with your consent.

Regarding content and services that may be of interest to you or that you asked for

As stated above, your personal information may be shared within the IDG Communications Publishing Network to provide you with information about products, content and services that may be of interest to you and for internal analytical and business purposes (see "IDG Communications Publishing Network" above). We may also share personal information with third parties for the purpose of providing sponsored content or other services you request (see "Content and events sponsored by independent users" below).

For business operations

We may also share personal information with third parties with whom we have an agreement to support IDG's business operations, including delivery, implementation, payment processing, email implementation, management of a Robinson list, i.e. a list of individuals who have revoked their consent to processing of their personal information and data.

For sponsored content and third party events

IDG works with Partners to provide our users with a large library of content such as documents, professional events (live or online) and other services or offers. In exchange for access to such offers, we may ask you to provide personal data as part of your registration.

We may use your personal information to send you the offer you have requested. In addition, your personal information may be shared with the Partners in order to contact you about the offer, as well as additional products, content or services that may be of interest to you. Please note that when your personal information is shared with a Partner, the Partner's privacy policy, including the opt-out, will apply to your personal information.

Compliance

Your personal data may be disclosed if permitted by law and/or if they are necessary to comply with a legal obligation of IDG.

In case of a new owner

If part or all of IDG or any of its products or services is sold or transferred, your personal information will be transferred to the new owner.

International data transfer

Therefore, this section applies to any such personal information collected by IDG from EU residents.

If IDG shares your personal information with IDG Communications Publishing Network or any other third party in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and your personal information is transferred to a country that is not a member state of the European Union or the EEA, or is deemed sufficient by the European Commission, IDG (as controller / data exporter) will carry out such transfer (to the data processor / data importer) if there are adequate safeguards in place, such as binding corporate rules, standard contractual clauses, an approved Code of Conduct or an approved certification mechanism. For more information, contact the IDG or IDGC Data Protection Officer (contact details below).

VII. For how long we will store your personal data

Personal data may be stored for as long as you use the SKLEP IDG KIOSK online shop and the SKLEP IDG KIOSK Internet services, and in case of marketing activities - until you file an objection; if they are related to cookies and similar technology, depending on the technical issues, until these files are deleted using the browser/machine settings (however, deleting files is not always tantamount to deleting personal data obtained through these files, hence the possibility of objection).

If the processing of your personal data is dependent on your consent, your personal data may be processed until it is revoked.

In every case:

  1. Personal data will be stored even if legal regulations (e.g. accounting or tax regulations) oblige IDG to process them;
  2. We will retain your personal data for longer if you have any claims against IDG, for the purpose of asserting claims by IDG or for the purpose of pursuing or defending against third party claims, for a statute of limitations specified by law, in particular the Civil Code.

Depending on the scope of the personal data and the purposes for which they are processed, they may be stored for different periods of time.

VIII. What rights you have

We want our actions to be as transparent to you as possible so that you can make reasonable choices about how we use your personal information. If you inform us that you want your personal data deleted (if you are an EU citizen) or that you do not wish us to communicate with you for marketing purposes or otherwise restrict the processing of your personal data by IDG, we may retain basic information to avoid sending unsolicited material in the future and keep a record of requests and responses.
